im actually so fucking excited you dont even know. i've been seeing memes that are like "oh the pjsk and enstars fandoms are going to have to hold hands and get along now" but as someone who has been in both fandoms for 2+ years i see this as an absolute win!! the only way this could get better is if they 1. let the girls collab too. and 2. release a cross franchise cover song album

world dai star maybe? i havent gotten into it much aside from watching the anime but the world mechanics of basically have a special power for theater sounds right up her stagegirl alley! project sekai would also be fun i would love to see what her sekai looks like

hey yk the link to that one theater anime thing you sent me. can u tell me more about it whats it about is it like a series or

revue starlight my beloved that has taken over my brain. ok! so! it’s a franchise that’s split up into several different media including an anime, two anime movies, several stageplays, a recently EOS-ed mobile(?) game and live concerts. I personally started w the anime as a way to get introduced to the characters bc the anime and stageplay canons kinda diverge a bit. there's a few manga adaptations to my knowlege but i couldnt really find where to read any of them aside from the manga adaptation of the first stage play

for the anime characters!

^ this is the main cast of the anime + movies! from left to right goes kaoruko, futaba, junna, hikari, karen, mahiru, nana, maya, and claudine. hikari and karen are the main protags (and are childhood friends!) but i think everyone else gets really interesting amount of depth between the anime + other media. beginning plot of the anime is that all of them sans hikari go to a school named seisho music academy, then one day hikari transfers in and karen discovers an underground musical theater battle club beneath the school.

I don't want to get super into it so you can go into relatively fresh but the music in it is sooo good and the characters are so fun. the two in the video i sent you especially have a very homoerotic rivalry dynamic but tbh all of them kinda have that.

as for the movies! after the anime there’s a recap movie named rondo rondo rondo but there are original scenes in it! here's a link of a compilation of them. after that there’s Revue Starlight the Movie which is a continuation of the anime events.

if you want more info about the stageplays and mobile game i can do that too but this is also getting kinda long already and tbh i haven't really delved that deep into the mobile game lore myself. have watching majority of the stageplays tho and they're really good too!! all of the stage actresses are really pretty and sound even better live<3

hi ok my arospec-isms mixed w my multishipper tendencies i think have made it so that theres not much that i ship romantically like actively yanno but i still like enjoy romantic ship fanart if i see it

in terms of stuff that i /r ship actively i think are torikasa, tatsumayo, tetsuhina, ofc the in-canon big ones like wataei, izuleo, chiakana, rinniki, etc

there's also a part of my brain that just likes mashing mayoi togehter w other characters like im playing dolls. like rn off the top of my head i have subamayo [product of subaru have two different nicknames for mayoi (ayappi and aya-chan) and my hc from a while ago that mayoi should get to fight subaru for the yumenosaki top idol role], nazumayo [product of my mayoi in ex valk hcs, gacha scout from this april was tailor made for me and i have a exvalk era meetcute fic for the two of them rotting in my wips folder rn], narumikamayoritsu [product of me wanting naru and mayoi to interact and then manifesting the open the door story 2 years ago + the gothic lolita gacha i really want them to have...]. and then lastly i want madara and mayoi to have a situationship. source? i read the phantom main story chapter where mayoi beats madara in a performance battle and then madara proceeds to call mayoi his rival in every interaction they have afterwards and i have NOT been normal about it. there's one fic about the two of them i think about soooo fondly i need them to interact more. badly
